摘要

Abstract

Based on provincial panel data from 31 provinces(cities,districts)in China from 2007 to 2022,this study used location quotients and Life Cycle Assessment(LCA)to measure the agglomeration degree of the pig farming industry and its carbon emissions.Subsequently,a Spatial Durbin Model(SDM)was constructed to analyze the specific impact of industrial agglomeration on carbon emissions in the pig farming sector,along with its spatial spillover effects.The results indicate:(1)the pig farming exhibits a clear agglomeration effect,with its carbon emissions showing an overall trend of rising initially,then de-clining,and subsequently rising again.(2)The agglomeration of pig industry has an obvious"inverted U-shaped"nonlinear effect on carbon emissions from pig farming,meaning that as the level of industry ag-glomeration increases,pork production-related carbon emissions initially promote growth but eventually inhibit it.(3)The agglomeration of the pig industry has significant spatial spillover effects on carbon emis-sions from pig farming,characterized by both inter-regional spillovers and intra-regional spillovers,form-ing a combined effect.Therefore,it is recommended to rationally plan the spatial layout of pig farming,develop differentiated policy measures,strengthen the integration and innovation of the swine industry chain,and ensure a balanced development pattern that promotes both emission reduction and efficiency en-hancement in the swine industry.
