Medical coping and quality of life in patients with cerebral infarction:The mediating role of psychological resilience and the moderating role of self-efficacy

Abstract
Objective:To explore the mechanism of the influence of medical coping styles on the quality of life of patients with cerebral infarction,and to verify the mediating effect of psychological elasticity and the moderating effect of self-efficacy among them,so as to provide reference for the improvement of the quality of life of patients with cerebral infarction.Methods:100 patients with cerebral infarction admitted to our hospital from January 2023 to December 2024 were taken as the study subjects,and the Medical Coping Mode Questionnaire(MCMQ),Quality of Life in Stroke Determination Scale(QLICD-ST),Psychological Resilience Inventory(CD-RISC),and General Self-Efficacy Scale(GSES)were used to conduct questionnaire surveys on the patients.Results:① The confrontation,a-voidance and submission coping style scores of the patients with cerebral infarction were 14.08±4.56,14.60±2.25 and 10.10±3.24,respectively,and the total scores of psychological resilience,self-efficacy and quality of life were 41.51±5.79,50.99±8.13,22.69±3.48 and 139.56±15.69 points,all of which were at a moderate level.②The medi-cal coping styles,psychological resilience,self-efficacy and quality of life of patients with cerebral infarction were significantly correlated.Psychological resilience was positively correlated with self-efficacy and quality of life,and self-efficacy was positively correlated with quality of life.③The direct effect of coping styles was 1.092,with a rela-tive mediating effect ratio of 75.89％,and the mediating effect of psychological resilience was 0.347,with a relative mediating effect ratio of 24.11％.The interaction term between psychological resilience and self-efficacy was signifi-cant(β=0.122,P＜0.05).In the high self-efficacy group,psychological resilience predicted quality of life(β=0.310,P＜0.05),while in the low-level group,it was not significant(β=0.063,P＞0.05).Conclusion:The medical coping styles of patients with cerebral infarction not only can directly affect their quality of life,but also indirectly affect their quality of life through psychological elasticity;Self-efficacy can modulate the mediating role of psychological elasticity between medical coping styles and quality of life.关键词
