甲状腺切除术与常见精神疾病之间的因果关系:一项孟德尔随机化研究
Causal relationship between common psychiatric disorders and thyroidectomy:a Mendelian randomization study
摘要
Abstract
Objective To investigate whether there exists a potential causal association between thyroid-ectomy and nine common psychiatric disorders using a two-sample Mendelian randomization approach. Methods Single nucleotide polymorphisms significantly associated with thyroidectomy(P<5×10-8)were identified from publicly available genome-wide association studies and employed as instrumental variables. To enhance the robustness of the findings, the exposure data underwent secondary standardization. The inverse-variance weighted method was used as the primary analytical approach to evaluate the association between thyroidectomy and nine common mental disorders.Subsequently, heterogeneity and horizontal pleiot-ropy were assessed through sensitivity analyses. Results The inverse-variance weighted analysis revealed that thyroidectomy was not significantly associated with an increased risk of any of the nine psychiatric disor-ders examined, including major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia(P>0.05).The results from other Mendelian randomization methods were generally consistent with those obtained from the inverse-variance weighted analysis. Conclusion No clear causal evidence was found between thyroidectomy and the nine common psychiatric disorders analyzed.关键词
