Impact of Upper Limb Rehabilitation Robot-Assisted Training Combined with Conventional Rehabilitation Training on Upper Limb Motor Function in Pa-tients with Subacute Stroke Hemiplegia

Abstract
Objective To investigate the impact of upper limb rehabilitation robot-assisted training combined with conventional rehabilitation training on upper limb motor function in patients with subacute stroke hemiplegia.Methods A total of 54 patients with subacute stroke hemiplegia admitted to the Department of Occupational Therapy,Affiliated Rehabilitation Hospital of Fujian University of Traditional Chinese Medicine were enrolled and divided into two groups according to the treatment method,with 27 cases in each group.The control group received conventional rehabilitation training,while the experimental group received additional upper limb rehabilitation robot-assisted training on the basis of the control group.The Fugl-Meyer Assessment-Upper Extremity(FMA-UE)scores,Functional Independence Measure(FIM)scores,Broetz Hand Function Test(BzH)scores and Modified Barthel Index(MBI)scores before and after treatment were compared between the two groups.Results Before treatment,there was no statistically significant difference in the FMA-UE,FIM,BzH and MBI scores between the two groups(P＞0.05).After treatment,the FMA-UE,FIM,BzH and MBI scores in both groups were significantly improved compared with those before treatment.The post-treatment FMA-UE,FIM,BzH and MBI scores in the experimental group were(29.83±1.42)points,(80.23±10.54)points,(24.30±2.13)points,and(83.67±11.52)points,respectively,significantly higher than(22.29±0.61)points,(69.13±9.55)points,(19.93±2.51)points,and(70.22±10.77)points in the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusions Upper limb rehabilitation robot-assisted training combined with conventional rehabilitation training can significantly improve the upper limb motor function of patients with subacute stroke hemiplegia,and effectively improve their activities of daily living and quality of life,which is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
