Advances in Metabolomics Technology and Applications in Precision Medicine and the Modernization of Traditional Chinese Medicine

Abstract
As a key component of systems biology,metabolomics leverages its inherent features-objective quantifica-tion,comprehensive coverage,and dynamic sensitivity-to holistically capture dynamic changes in small-molecule metabolites within an organism,thereby directly reflecting its physiological and pathological states as well as patterns of biological responses.Against the backdrop of advancing precision medicine and the implementation of national strategies for the modernization of Tradi-tional Chinese Medicine(TCM),cutting-edge life sciences technologies have accelerated paradigm shifts in metabolomics,driv-ing transformative progress in technical methodologies,analytical strategies,and application breadth.Metabolomics has now emerged as a critical bridge linking basic research with clinical practice,and traditional Chinese medicine with modern science.This article systematically reviewed the historical development of metabolomics technologies,summarized key scientific and tech-nical challenges encountered in research,discussed their applications in clinical precision medicine and TCM modernization,and outlined future directions for the advancement of metabolomics technology.关键词
