Expert consensus on implant-supported fixed prosth-odontic design for edentulous jaws
摘要
Abstract
Edentulism is a common yet complex condi-tion in clinical dentistry that significantly compromises masti-catory function,speech,and overall quality of life of patients.Full-arch implant-supported fixed rehabilitation,which offers masticatory efficiency closely approximating that of the natu-ral dentition,along with favorable esthetic outcomes and long-term stability,has become a principal treatment modality for edentulous patients.Nevertheless,clinical consensus remains lacking regarding several critical aspects of full-arch implant-supported fixed rehabilitation,including the determination of vertical dimension,the number and distribution of implants,occlusal design,management of provisional restorations,clini-cian-technician collaboration,and peri-implant maintenance.From a multidisciplinary perspective encompassing prosth-odontics,implantology,dental esthetics,prosthodontic technol-ogy,and periodontology,this consensus integrates clinical ex-perience and current evidence to provide guidance on these critical aspects,with the aim of informing clinical practice in implant-supported fixed rehabilitation for edentulous jaws.关键词
