Research Progress on Environmental Impacts of Pig Farming System Based on Life Cycle Assessment

Abstract
The global livestock industry is facing challenges from climate change and resource environmental pressures.As one significant component,the environmental impact assessment of pig farming is crucial for achieving low-carbon transformation.Life Cycle Assessment(LCA)serves as a core analytical tool for quantifying environmental impacts,but current research faces controversies and challenges regarding regional differences and system boundaries.This paper systematically reviews the research progress of LCA in the field of pig farming.Firstly,it introduces the methodological framework and procedures of LCA,clarifying its applicability and limitations.Subsequently,LCA studies on pig farming systems and their environmental impact contributions are synthesized,with particular attention the differences in environmental effects resulting from various formula optimizations,farming models,and manure treatment methods.International research findings are comparatively analyzed to reveal the reasons for regional heterogeneity.Finally,future research directions are proposed to provide scientific evidence and decision-making support for the sustainable development of the pig industry.关键词
