Abstract
ZHU Danxi pioneered the"lifting the kettle to uncover the lid"method,emphasizing the need to diffuse and unblock lung qi,facilitate the distribution of body fluids,and promote the flow of the lower orifices.Based on this theory,it is proposed that the occurrence and development of adenoid hypertrophy(AH)are con-sistent with qi mechanism disharmony.The essence of the"lifting the kettle to uncover the lid"method lies in regulating the qi mechanism and restoring the lung's function of dispersion and descending.In the early stage of AH,when external wind pathogen constrains the exterior and lung qi is stagnated,Liuwei Tang(六味汤)is indicated to diffuse lung qi,relieve lung stagnation,and"uncover the lid."In the middle stage,characterized by qi mechanism blockage and intermingling of phlegm and blood stasis,self-formulated Tiaoqi Tongqiao Tang(调气通窍汤)is indicated to regulate lung qi,eliminate phlegm and stasis,and"scour the kettle."In the late stage,with spleen-lung qi deficiency and failure of clear yang to ascend,Buzhong Yiqi Tang(补中益气汤)combined with Cangerzi San(苍耳子散)is indicated to tonify the spleen and lung,elevate clear yang,and"protect the base of the kettle."关键词
