Abstract
Objective:To investigate the impact of a discharge education program based on the Kirkpatrick four-level evaluation model on discharge readiness,quality of discharge guidance,and short-term clinical outcomes in urology patients with indwelling double-J stents.Methods:A randomized controlled trial design was adopted.A total of 156 patients with indwelling double-J catheters after urology surgery in our hospital from January 2024 to January 2025 were selected.The eligible research subjects were divided into the study group(n=78)and the conventional group(n=78)by the random number table method.The research group implemented a four-stage discharge education program based on the Kirkpatrick model,while the conventional group received conventional discharge guidance.The discharge readiness,discharge guidance quality score,unplanned readmission rate within one month and emergency visit rate of the two groups were compared.Results:After the intervention,the scores of each dimension of discharge readiness and the total score of discharge guidance quality in the study group were significantly higher than those in the conventional group.The unplanned readmission rate and emergency visit rate within one month in the study group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion:The discharge education program based on the Kirkpatrick four-level assessment model can effectively improve the discharge readiness and guidance quality of patients with indwelling double-J catheters,and reduce the risk of readmission related to short-term complications.关键词
