Abstract
To investigate the effect of glass fiber-reinforced polymer(GFRP)on the mechanical properties and deformation capacity of reinforced concrete beams, ordinary Portland cement concrete beams and GFRP-modified concrete beams were prepared. The influences of concrete strength, shear span ratio, and reinforcement ratio on the load-bearing capacity were analyzed through mechanical tests on the concrete beams. The results show that the incorporation of GFRP significantly increases the strength of reinforced concrete beams, with improved ductility and deformation capacity, especially under a reasonable reinforcement ratio where the deformation enhancement is more pronounced.Increasing the concrete strength and reinforcement ratio effectively enhances the ultimate bearing capacity of the beams, with increases of 80.01%and 50.17%,respectively.Increasing the shear span ratio leads to a notable decrease in bearing capacity, with a maximum reduction of 36.95%.关键词
