固本泄浊饮联合中药脐部贴敷改善腹膜透析患者便秘症状的疗效观察
Observation on the therapeutic effect of Guben Xiezhuo Decoction combined with traditional Chinese medicine umbilical application in improving constipation symptoms in peritoneal dialysis patients

Abstract
Objective To observe the efficacy of Guben Xiezhuo Decoction combined with umbilical application of Chinese herbal medicine in treating constipation in patients undergoing peritoneal dialysis(PD).Methods A total of 73 PD patients with constipation treated in the Department of Nephrology of Zhangjiagang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine from January 2024 to December 2024 were enrolled and randomly divided into a control group(36 cases)and a treatment group(37 cases)using a random number table.The control group received routine Western medical treatment,while the treatment group received Guben Xiezhuo Decoction plus umbilical herbal application in addition to the routine treatment.Both groups were treated for 2 weeks.The improvement in constipation symptoms and qualityoflife scores were compared between the two groups after treatment.Results There were no statistically significant differences in gender,age,or dialysis duration between the two groups at baseline(P>0.05).After 2 weeks of treatment,constipation symptom scores decreased significantly in both groups compared with baseline(P<0.01).The reductions in stool consistency,defecation time,and daily symptom scores in the treatment group were significantly greater than those in the control group(P<0.05).The qualityoflife score in the treatment group decreased significantly after treatment(P<0.05)and was significantly lower than that in the control group;no significant change was observed in the control group before and after treatment(P>0.05).The total effective rate was 91.43%(32/35)in the treatment group,which was significantly higher than the 71.43%(25/35)in the control group(P<0.05).No adverse reactions were reported in either group during the treatment period.Conclusion Guben Xiezhuo Decoction combined with umbilical herbal application has a definite therapeutic effect on constipation in PD patients,effectively improving constipation symptoms and quality of life without obvious adverse reactions,and is worthy of clinical promotion.关键词
