摘要

Abstract

The experiment aimed to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation with microalgae-derived docosahexaenoic acid(DHA)on the productive performance,milk composition,plasma fatty acid profiles,and cytokine levels of sows.A total of 242 sows were randomly divided into a control group and a DHA group,with 121 replicates per group and one sow per replicate.The control group was fed a basal diet,while the DHA group received the basal diet supplemented with 50 mg/kg microalgae-derived DHA.The experimental period lasted from weaning in the previous parity to weaning in the subsequent parity.The results showed that compared with the control group,the DHA content in milk on day 6 and in plasma on day 17 of the DHA group was significantly increased(P<0.05),the concentrations of palmitoleic acid and eicosenoic acid in milk on day 6 were significantly decreased(P<0.05).There were no significant differences between the two groups in terms of productive performance or plasma immune indicators(P>0.05).The study shows that supplementation with 50 mg/kg microalgae-derived DHA throughout the complete reproductive cycle can effectively increase DHA levels in sow milk and plasma,and alter the composition of fatty acids,but has limited effects on improving sow productive performance or plasma cytokine levels.
