中国首次发现椰枣种子害虫棕榈核小蠹
First record of the date palm seed pest Coccotrypes dactyliperda in China
摘要
Abstract
A pest that seriously damages the seeds of Phoenix dactylifera,a fruit tree with important economic value introduced in China in recent years,was discovered.The taxonomic status of this pest were clarified with traditional morphological identification and phylogenetic analysis based on mitochondrial cytochrome c oxidase subunit I(COI)gene sequences,and the morphological characteristics were described.The results showed that the pest was consistent with Coccotrypes dactyliperda(Fabricius,1801)in morphological characteristics and formed a monophyletic clade with C.dactyliperda.Based on morphological and molecular characteristics,the invasive pest damaging date palm seeds was identified as Coccotrypes dactyliperda(Fabricius,1801).This is the first report of this pest in China,and the findings provide important scientific evidence for the monitoring,accurate identification,and the development of effective control strategies of this pest.关键词
