父、母本授粉时间对'红心×红星'石斛杂交坐果率及蒴果性状的影响
Effects of the time of parent plant pollination on the fruit setting rate and capsule traits of Dendrobium Cassiope×moniliforme×Dendrobium'Red Star'

Abstract
To explore the effects of the time of pollen from the paternal and maternal parents on the fruit setting rate and the characteristics of the capsules in the hybridization of Dendrobium species,this study conducted an interspecific hybridization experiment using Dendrobium Cassiope×moniliforme as the maternal parent and Dendrobium'Red Star'as the paternal parent.Artificial pollination was carried out at different times after the flowering of the parents(on the 1st,6th,11th,16th,21st,and 26th days of flowering),and the fruit setting rate,longitudinal diameter,transverse diameter of the capsules,and fruit stalk length were measured.The results showed that the capsules with the largest longitudinal and transverse diameters were obtained by cross-pollination using pollen collected on the first day of flowering of the paternal plant Dendrobium'Red Star'.However,the fruit setting rate was relatively low,at 66.67%.The fruit setting rate was above 95%from the 6th to 11th day after flowering.On the first day of flowering of the maternal plant Dendrobium Cassiope×moniliforme,the capsules with the largest longitudinal diameter were obtained through pollination and hybridization,but the fruit setting rate was relatively low,at 63.33%.The fruit setting rate reached 100%on the 6th day of flowering,and the longitudinal and transverse diameters of the capsules were at a medium to upper level.Additionally,the length of the fruit stalk was superior to that of other groups.Overall,if the goal is to obtain the largest fruit,both the parent plants should be pollinated on the first day of flowering.If both high fruit setting rate and excellent fruit traits are considered,the paternal plant can be pollinated on the 6th to 11th day of flowering;the maternal plant should be pollinated on 6th of flowering.If the pollination time is the latest,the maternal plant needs to complete the hybridization within 21th of flowering and the paternal plant within 16th of flowering to ensure a certain fruit setting rate.This study determined the optimal and latest pollination times for Dendrobium Cassiope×moniliforme×Dendrobium'Red Star'hybrid combination,providing a reference for the arrangement of parent flower periods in the hybrid breeding of Dendrobium.关键词
