冬小麦抗锈基因聚合新品种兰天56号的选育
Breeding of the New Winter Wheat VarietyLantian 56 with Pyramided Rust-resistance Genes

Abstract
To effectively address the prevention and control challenges in the oversummering inoculum source areas of wheat stripe rust in Northwest China and to develop new durable rust-resistant winter wheat varieties suitable for dryland cultivation,the Wheat Research Institute of Gansu Academy of Agricultural Sciences initiated a breeding program in 2014.Using the self-bred vari-ety Lantian 26 as the female parent and Lantian 34 as the male parent,pedigree breeding combined with phenotypic identification of stripe rust resistance and marker-assisted selection was applied to develop Lantian 56,a new wheat variety pyramided with multiple rust resistance genes.In the regional experiment for winter wheat(mountain group)in the Longnan sub-region of Gansu Province from 2020 to 2022,Lantian 56 achieved an average equivalent yield of 6 511.08 kg/ha,whereas the yield in control variety Lantian 19 was 6 069.32 kg/ha,representing a 7.27%yield increase compared with the control variety Lantian 19.During the production experiement for winter wheat(mountain group)in the same sub-region from 2022 to 2023,its average equivalent yield reached 5 470.80 kg/ha,compared with 5 280.60 kg/ha from the control variety Lantian 19,representing a yield increase of 3.60%over the control variety Lan-tian 19.Lantian 56 exhibits vigorous growth,strong tillering capacity,compact plant architecture and moderate plant height.It possess-es awnless ears with white glumes and vitreous kernels.The variety bears 40.6 grains per spike with a 1000-kernel weight of 46.5 g.Its grain quality parameters are as follows:crude protein(dry basis)133.6 g/kg,wet gluten(14%moisture basis)298.0 g/kg,test weight 800 g/L,dough water absorption 627 mL/kg,dough stability time 1.3 min,and maximum resistance to extension 121 E.U.Field resis-tance evaluations confirmed that Lantian 56 is immune to wheat stripe rust.It contains the adult resistance gene Yr30 as well as the all-stage resistance genes Yr5,Yr9,Yr17 and YrZH84.Lantian 56 is suitable for promotion and cultivation in the dryland winter wheat planting areas of the mountainous Longnan region of Gansu Province.关键词
