摘要
Abstract
A synergistic denitrification system was established employing pine bark as a slow-release carbon source and pyrite as an autotrophic electron donor, addressing the problem of high residual nitrate concentrations in tannery wastewater after biological treatment. The impact of nitrate concentration and filler packing configuration on the nitrogen removal performance of the system were investigated. The results demonstrated that, when NO3--N mass concentrations in the influent was within 150 mg·L-1,the heterotrophic-sulfur autotrophic synergistic denitrification system displayed superior performance compared to either autotrophic or heterotrophic systems alone.Besides, removal efficiencies of 90.2%for NO3--N and 86.5%for total nitrogen(TN)were achieved, while nitrite accumulation was reduced by 11 mg·L-1 compared to the autotrophic denitrification system.Under mixed packing conditions, the nitrogen removal performance of the synergistic system outperformed that under layered packing. An average concentration of NO3--N in the effluent was 7.1 mg·L-1,with the corresponding removal efficiency increased to 95.3%.Key functional genera such as Thauera and Thiothrix were enriched in the heterotrophic-sulfur autotrophic synergistic denitrification system, along with increased gene abundances of nitrate reductase(EC 1.7.5.1)and nitrite reductase(EC 1.7.2.1),which were significant factors contributing to the high denitrification efficiency.关键词
