Research progress of N6-methyladenosine methylation in osteoporosis
摘要
Abstract
Osteoporosis is a metabolic bone disease characterized by progressive reduction of bone mass and destruction of bone microstructure.It seriously threatens the physical health and quality of life of the elderly population.Its pathogenesis is complex,and the core triggers are closely related to the imbalance of bone metabolic homeostasis.The dynamic balance be-tween bone resorption and bone formation is disrupted,which is the key to the occurrence and development of this disease.N6-methyladenosine is widely involved in the proliferation,differentiation,and functional regulation of bone-related cells,and plays an important role in maintaining bone homeostasis.This article systematically reviews the mechanism of action and the latest research progress of N6-methyladenosine methylation in osteoporosis,focusing on its core role in regulating the differentiation,maturation,and functional activity of osteoblasts and osteoclasts,influencing the osteogenic-adipogenic differentiation balance of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells,and mediating multiple classic bone metabolic signaling pathways,breaking bone metabolic homeostasis and inducing osteoporosis.By deeply analyzing the molecular mechanism of N6-methyladenosine methylation in regulating osteoporosis,exploring potential intervention measures targeting it,and envisioning future research directions,this article provides solid theoretical support for the development of new diagnostic biomarkers and efficient treatment strategies for osteoporosis.关键词
