Cultural Practices in the Digital Field:Youth Communication of Excellent Traditional Chinese Culture

Abstract
The reconstruction of cultural fields by digital technology has presented the dissemination of China's excellent traditional culture among young people with the dual challenges of generational symbol fading and the de-territorialization of cultural spaces.Based on Bourdieu's field theory analytical frame-work and related analytical methods from computational communication and network ethnography,this study finds that digital fields reconstruct the ecological system of traditional cultural dissemination in the overlapping process of physical,cyber,and spiritual spaces.Young people form new paths for the accu-mulation of subcultural capital through embodied practices.Meanwhile,young people actively engage in symbolic translation and reproduction,promoting the modern adaptation of traditional culture.On the one hand,based on Bertopic thematic clustering,four re-embedding paths are identified:immersive recon-struction of cultural heritage,co-creation of traditional aesthetic audiovisual content,activation of local cultural genes,and the cloud-based transformation of institutional fields.On the other hand,co-occur-rence networks of keywords reveal the creative connections between the core nodes of"China-culture-tra-dition"and derivative symbols such as"Hanfu/Guofeng,"as well as the capital conversion paths con-structed by network symbols,highlighting the dynamic mechanisms of cultural reproduction.As a struc-tured subject,youth actively promote the deep mutual construction of traditional culture and modernity.This process is constrained by the interplay of platform capital and policy forces,yet it also nurtures new possibilities for the modern transformation of traditional culture through symbol transposition and meaning elevation.关键词
