Effects of Preharvest CaCl2 Spraying on Storage Quality of'Guiqi'Mangoes

Abstract
To investigate the effects of preharvest spraying with different concentrations of CaCl2 solution on the storage quality of'Guiqi'mangoes,three treatments were designed:3%CaCl2,2%CaCl2 and 1%CaCl2,each supplemented with 1 mL of 0.05%Tween-80,designated as Treatment 3,Treatment 2,and Treatment 1,respectively.Distilled water supple-mented with 1 mL of 0.05%Tween-80 was used as the control(ck).The effects of each treatment on fruit quality,storage performance,and antioxidant capacity were systematically evaluated under cold storage conditions at(13±1)℃,with the aim of screening the optimal preharvest CaCl2 spraying concentration.The results showed that preharvest spraying with different concentrations of CaCl2 effectively reduced fruit decay,delayed senescence,and maintained fruit quality.CaCl2 delayed the occurrence of the respiratory climacteric peak during storage,maintained fruit weight and firmness,and re-tarded the decline in titratable acidity and the increase in total soluble solids.Comprehensive comparison indicated that the treatment with 3%CaCl2+1 mL 0.05%Tween-80 exhibited the best performance in reducing oxidative damage,delaying the deterioration of fruit quality,and decreasing the incidence of decay and weight loss,thereby demonstrating good stor-ability and effectively extending the shelf life.关键词
