Competition-Driven Practical Teaching in Insurance:Operation Mechanisms of American Universities and Implications
摘要
Abstract
The rapid development of insurance technology has imposed new practical requirements on talent cultivation in higher education.From the perspective of Herrington's authentic learning theory,this paper examines the ecosystem of insurance innovation competitions in the United States,as well as the models and operation mechanisms for integrating such competitions into university practical teaching.The study finds that the US has formed a diversified pattern consisting of three types of competitions:case analysis,product innovation,and social innovation.Universities integrate competitions into teaching through three paths:curriculum embedding,student organization driving,and academic certification.Such integration is supported by three mechanisms:university‑enterprise collaboration in proposition‑guidance‑evaluation,interdisciplinary team collaboration,and outcome extension linking competition‑curriculum‑incubation.On this basis,combined with the reality of insurance education in China,this paper puts forward localized implementation suggestions from six aspects:competition brand system construction,curriculum‑competition integration,university‑enterprise collaborative proposition,regional alliances,faculty incentives and competition governance,and result incubation.关键词
