Abstract
Cerebral infarction is a serious cerebrovascular disorder characterized by a complex pathogenesis that involves multiple risk factors.Its pathological processes encompass vascular endothelial injury,thrombosis,localized ischemia,and neuronal death.Recently,vitamin D,a crucial fat-soluble vitamin,has garnered significant attention from both basic researchers and clinicians regarding its association with cerebral infarction.This review elucidates the strong correlation between vitamin D deficiency and the risk of developing cerebral infarction.It further examines the multifaceted roles of vitamin D in the pathogenesis of cerebral infarction,particularly its regulation of vascular endothelial function,its inhibitory effects on inflammatory responses,and its neural regeneration mechanisms.Additionally,the article assesses the importance of vitamin D supplementation for the prevention and treatment of cerebral infarction,evaluates its potential to enhance clinical outcomes and improve the quality of life for patients,and outlines prospective directions for future research and clinical applications related to vitamin D and cerebral infarction.关键词
