Abstract
With the rapid development of digital technologies,the virtual dental patient(VDP)has emerged as a novel digital tool for diagnosis and treatment,demonstrating great potential in oral and maxillofacial surgery,prosthodontics,implant dentistry,orthodontics,and orthognathic surgery.By integrating multimodal patient data,VDP provides digital support for multidisciplinary team(MDT)in esthetic prosthodontic rehabilitation,full-mouth occlusal reconstruction,esthetic implant therapy,and orthognathic-orthodontic treatment,thereby enabling more precise and personalized clinical workflows.This review summarizes the current applications and recent research advances of VDP in oral MDT,with the aim of providing new insights into the development of digital dentistry and the optimization of clinical diagnostic and therapeutic strategies.关键词
