航放资料及地面磁测在纳米比亚罗辛矿床外围地区铀资源量扩大中的应用
Application of airborne radiometric data and ground magnetic survey in expanding uranium resources in the peripheral area of the Rössing deposit,Namibia
摘要
Abstract
The alaskite-type uranium deposit in Namibia is a world-renowned example of intrusion-hosted uranium mineralization, with the Rössing deposit being the most representative among them. However, after five decades of continuous mining,Rössing has entered the category of a crisis mine in terms of remaining reserves, making the expansion of peripheral uranium resources an urgent priority. An integrated investigation combining airborne radiometrics, ground gamma-ray spectrometry, and high-precision magnetic surveys was carried out over the radioactive anomaly belt in the southeastern part of the deposit. With supplementary magnetic susceptibility measurements of major lithologies and regional geological constraints, the relationship between radioactive anomalies and alaskite bodies was rapidly established. The interpretation revealed an"upper-wide,lower-narrow"spatial configuration with a southeastward deepening trend. These results provided critical guidance for subsequent geophysical surveys and drilling deployment.Subsequent borehole verification confirmed a strong consistency between the interpreted alaskite distribution and actual drilling results, demonstrating that this methodological combination is effective for rapid delineation of alaskite-hosted mineralization in the Rössing area and other regions with analogous geological settings.关键词
