Research on the Typological Characteristics and Performance-Enhancing Retrofitting Design of Existing Residential Buildings from a Hierarchical Perspective:A Case Study of the Yangtze River Delta

Abstract
In the context of urban regeneration,this study,based on the hierarchical theory of Open Building and field investigations,analyses the current issues and typological characteristics of existing residential buildings at the levels of support,spatial organization,infill,and equipment pipelines,and proposes corresponding retrofitting design principles and strategies.The introduction of hierarchical theory provides a systematic analytical framework for understanding the complex conditions of existing residential buildings and offers a theoretical basis for graded and controllable retrofitting design methods.The research outcomes can serve as a methodological reference for retrofitting design practices and hold positive implications for enhancing residential quality and fostering industrial transformation.关键词
