"Having Laws to Achieve Virtue":An Examination of Moral Education Methods in China's Excellent Traditional Culture
摘要
Abstract
The moral education methods embedded in China's excellent traditional culture can be categorized into six types:The knowledge transmission method,the exemplification method,the moral assessment method,the practical application method,the environmental immersion method,and the self-education method.Specifically,the knowledge transmission method encompasses the lecture method,the dialogue method,and the debate method.The exemplification method comprises the family exemplification method,the school exemplification method,and the social exemplification method.The moral assessment method includes the observation method and the verification method.The practical application method covers the life-practice method,the ritual-practice method(via sacrificial rites),and the social-practice method.The environmental immersion method consists of the interpersonal environment method,the institutional environment method,and the material environment method.Finally,the self-education method incorporates self-discipline in seclusion method(shendu)and the self-restraint method(keji).关键词
