The Protection and Inheritance of Traditional Chinese Medicine Cultural Heritage:Dialectical Logic and Practical Approaches in the Context of World Heritage Application

Abstract
This article systematically reviews the development process of the application for World Heritage status for Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM),analyzes the core purpose of constructing the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List,dialectically examines the value and rights-and-responsibility impacts of the application on the protection and inheritance of TCM cultural heritage,and proposes practical paths for the application and protection of TCM cultural heritage based on the inclusion criteria of the Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.The research indicates that the application for World Heritage status is not the only path to protection and inheritance,but the entire process can promote a re-recognition of the heritage's intrinsic value and a systematic improvement in protection and inheritance standards.Regardless of the application outcome,based on selection and optimization,it can provide new opportunities and inject new impetus for TCM culture to achieve high-quality development and sustainable protection and utilization at an international level.It is necessary to build on a clear cultural positioning,focus on such aspects as improving project categories,deeply exploring intrinsic value,probing materialized forms,promoting cross-collaboration,strengthening international exchanges,adhering to cultural values,enhancing cultural identity,and strengthening cultural confidence,to continuously promote the application for World Heritage status and related protection and inheritance work for TCM cultural heritage.This has positive practical significance for promoting the sustainable development of TCM cultural heritage in the process of applying for World Heritage status,inheriting and carrying forward excellent traditional Chinese culture,and advancing the construction of the Chinese national community.关键词
