摘要
Abstract
Molybdenum tailings, the major solid waste generated during molybdenum ore beneficiation in China, occupy extensive land during long-term stockpiling and pose environmental and safety risks such as heavy-metal leaching, dust dispersion, and tailings-dam instability.Driven by the demand for green and low-carbon building materials, the resource utilization of molybdenum tailings in ce-ment-based materials has attracted increasing attention.Studies have shown that molybdenum tailings have fine particles and composi-tions similar to cementitious systems, and can meet radioactivity and safety requirements. When used as a partial replacement of fine aggregate or cementitious components, their effects on the workability, mechanical properties, and durability of mortar and concrete generally follow a"beneficial at moderate dosage but detrimental at high dosage"pattern.Within an approximate 10%~20%replace-ment range, the micro-filling effect and potential pozzolanic reactivity contribute to enhanced matrix densification and improved interfa-cial transition zones, thereby increasing strength and certain durability indicators.Excessive incorporation, however, leads to perform-ance degradation due to dilution effects and increased porosity. Moreover, curing environments and activation modes-such as electro-curing-significantly influence the reactivity of tailings and their contribution to overall performance.Overall, molybdenum tailings ex-hibit considerable potential for resource utilization.Nevertheless, current research remains largely confined to fundamental material properties, with limited studies on splitting tensile behavior, elastic modulus,long-term durability, and cross-scale validation from ma-terials to structural components and systems.Future work should establish standardized characterization frameworks, elucidate micro-macro performance correlations, and advance investigations into their applicability in structural elements.关键词
