New quality productive forces in animal husbandry:Level measurement,dynamic evolution and driving factors

Abstract
To investigate the development status of new quality productive forces in China's animal husbandry sector and reveal its dynamic evolution characteristics and driving factors,the entropy-weighted TOPSIS method was employed to measure the development levels of new quality productive forces in animal husbandry across 30 provinces nationwide from 2013 to 2022(The data do not include those of Xizang,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan regions.The same below).The regional disparities,dynamic evolution,and driving factors were analyzed by using the Dagum Gini coefficient,Markov chains,an obstacle factor diagnostic model,and geographic detectors.The results indicate that:1)From 2013 to 2022,China's new quality productive forces in animal husbandry showed an overall steady upward trend,through the overall development level remained at a relatively low.Regionally,a decreasing pattern emerged from east to west,followed by central,western,and northeastern regions.2)Significant regional disparities persist in the development level of new quality productive forces in animal husbandry with a widening trend driven primarily by intra-regional differences.3)The dynamic evolution of new quality productive forces in animal husbandry exhibits stability,slowness,and an upward shift tendency.4)The development and innovation of digital technologies constitute a major obstacle to the advancement of new quality productive forces in animal husbandry.Marketization levels,economic development levels,industrial structures,government investment intensity,household meat-egg-dairy consumption levels,and urbanization levels all serve as major driving factors.The dominant factors influencing development are shifting from relatively singular to increasingly diverse.Accordingly,future strategies should strengthen regional coordination,implement targeted measures to narrow regional disparities,concentrate on overcoming weak links hindering digital development in modern animal husbandry,and cultivate diverse driving entities.关键词
