Coccidia Species and Geographical Distribution of Gallus Genus
摘要
Abstract
In order to comprehensively understand the coccidia species of Gallus genus and their distribution in different countries,we reviewed the literature and collected references of Gallus coccidia published so far in the world.The distribution of 16 Eimeria spp infected Gallus in 74 countries were introduced with the alphabetical order of their scientific names.Each specie was listed and introduced with its Chinese name,scientific name,host name,parasitic site and geographical distribution.Some species also included their synonyms.The geographical distribution was listed with the order according to the alphabet of English or Chinese names of the country or first-level administrative region.Among 74 countries,200 first-level administrative regions were recorded in 55 countries including Algeria while 19 countries including Austria had no administrative regions.The top 5 countries that Eimeria species were recorded were India(15 species),United States(12 species),Nigeria(11 species),Australia(10 species)and China(9 species).The top 5 Eimeria species in these countries were Eimeria tenella(69 countries),Eimeria maxima(64 countries),Eimeria acervulina(63 countries),Eimeria necatrix(53 countries)and Eimeria mitis(52 countries).This review collected the basic distribution of Gallus coccidia in the world and provided a information for a comprehensively understanding of the species and geographical distribution of Gallus coccidia.关键词
