Exploring Diagnosis and Treatment Strategies for Dry Eye Based on "Three Parts Six Diseases" Theory

Abstract
Dry eye is a modern high-incidence ocular surface disease with complex pathogenesis involving multi-system functional disorders.Guided by"three parts six diseases"theory established by LIU Shaowu,this article systematically explores the core pathogenesis of dry eye based on localization within the"three parts"and precise therapeutic methods under differentiation of the"six diseases",while establishing a correspondence between Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome differentiation and clinical practice by integrating modern medical classification standards for dry eye.The occurrence and development of dry eye are closely related to abnormal fluid generation and distribution in the interior part(里部,Li part)involving the spleen and stomach,dysfunction of the pivot mechanism in the half-interior half-exterior part(半表半里部,Ban-biao Ban-li part)involving liver-gallbladder and triple burner,and impaired circulation of Qi,blood,and body fluids.For different types of dry eye,the differentiation emphasis according to the three parts six diseases theory is clarified.Accordingly,the general treatment principle of"treating three parts together while regulating six diseases separately"is proposed.This advocates that on the basis of nourishing fluids and moistening ocular orifices,respective application of methods such as harmonizing the pivot mechanism,soothing liver and benefiting gallbladder,strengthening spleen and boosting Qi,and warming Yang and consolidating the exterior should be implemented.The article also systematically organizes local external treatment methods including herbal fumigation,acupuncture,and meibomian gland massage,clarifying the applicable scenarios and operational logic for each therapy,thereby providing new perspectives for precise syndrome differentiation and comprehensive intervention in dry eye.关键词
