Current Status and Future Trends of the Bio-based Fiber Industry

Abstract
Bio-based fiber materials are new types of fiber materials prepared from renewable biomass resources,which are crucial for promot-ing the green and low-carbon transformation of the fiber materials industry,ensuring resource security,and implementing the dual-carbon goals of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality.This article systematically summarized the concept system,classification characteristics,and the cur-rent status of industrial development of bio-based fiber materials,and focused on analyzing the development trends and industrialization process-es of major technical routes such as regenerated cellulose fibers,marine bio-based fibers,bio-based polyesters fiber,and bio-based polyamides fiber.Regarding aspects such as raw material supply,green manufacturing,high-performance fiber development,marine biomass utilization,standard system construction,and the establishment of innovation platforms,it summarized the key tasks and key projects of the development of China's bio-based fiber industry.It also focused on discussing the collaborative relationship between the bio-based fiber industry and the pulp and paper industry,proposing that the pulp and paper industry is transforming from the manufacturing of traditional paper-based products to a biomass material platform,which can provide important support for the large-scale,high-value,and green development of bio-based fibers.关键词
