甘肃省下肢静脉曲张流行现状及影响因素分析
Analysis on the prevalence and influencing factors of lower limb varicose veins in Gansu Province

Abstract
Objective:To investigate the prevalence and associated risk factors of lower extremity varicose veins in a sample of the population in Gansu Province,and to provide a scientific basis for comprehensive prevention strategies and intervention measures against this disease.Methods:A multi-stage stratified cluster random sampling method was employed.Seven cities,including Lanzhou and Jin-chang,were selected according to their economic development levels.In each city,two districts/counties were randomly chosen,followed by the random selection of 2-3 streets/townships from each selected district/county.One community(or neighbourhood committee)was then ran-domly identified from each street/township,and 30-40 households were randomly selected from each community.All permanent residents aged 18 years and above in the selected households were enrolled as survey participants and underwent an epidemiological questionnaire survey on lower extremity varicose veins.Results:A total of 3,506 permanent residents from 7 regions across Gansu Province were included in this study.The overall prevalence of lower extremity varicose veins was 10.3%(361/3,506).A higher prevalence was observed among in-dividuals with a family history of varicose veins,smokers,drinkers,and those engaged in light physical labour(P<0.05),whereas a lower preva-lence was found in those with a higher educational level,those who engaged in regular physical exercise,unmarried individuals,and those aged<65 years(P<0.05).Binary logistic regression analysis revealed that age,degree of obesity,smoking,and family history of lower extremi-ty varicose veins were independent risk factors for the development of varicose veins,while physical exercise was an independent protective factor.Conclusion:The regional burden of lower extremity varicose veins is considerable.High risk populations should be prioritized,and disease prevention and control should be implemented through health education and lifestyle interventions.关键词
