Abstract
Objective:To investigate the current prevalence of Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection among adolescents in Xigu District of Lanzhou,to analyze the factors associated with H.pylori infection,to provide localized data support and theoretical references for research in related fields,and to offer a scientific basis for health education,the prevention of gastric diseases,and the control and prevention of H.pylori infection.Methods:Adolescents aged 12-16 from schools in Xigu District of Lanzhou,were selected using random cluster sam-pling.Data were collected via a standardized questionnaire,and H.pylori infection status was assessed using the 13C breath test.Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were conducted to identify factors influencing H.pylori infection among adolescents in Xigu District of Lanzhou.Results:Among 489 adolescents in Xigu District of Lanzhou,124 were infected with H.pylori,yielding an infection rate of 25.4%.Multivariate logistic regression analysis revealed that frequently dining out(OR=4.037),not having personal dining utensils(OR=4.461),frequently consuming pickled foods(OR=4.508),H.pylori infection among household members(OR=4.309),and a parental history of gastric dis-ease(OR=5.089)were identified as risk factors for H.pylori infection among adolescents in Xigu District of Lanzhou(P<0.05).Conclusion:Frequent dining out,lack of personal tableware,frequent consumption of pickled foods,H.pylori infection in family members,and a parental history of gastric disease were independent risk factors for H.pylori infection among adolescents in Xigu District of Lanzhou.关键词
