Application of quality control circles in reducing the defect rate in the management of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in the operating room pharmacy

Abstract
Objective:To explore the application effect of quality management tools in reducing the defect rate of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances(NDPS)in the operating room pharmacy.Methods:By reviewing both domestically and international research back-ground information and combining it with the practical work of the main operating-room pharmacy in a certain tertiary hospital's main oper-ating room pharmacy(hereinafter referred to as"the pharmacy"),we selected a topic and carried out activities according to the ten steps of quality circles,identifying key factors,formulating corresponding countermeasures,and evaluating the effectiveness after implementation to determine improvement results.Results:The comparison before and after improvement showed that the incidence of adverse events in the management of NDPS in the pharmacy decreased from 16.80%before to 7.29%after(improvement);the target achievement rate was 108.43%,with an improvement rate of 56.61%,and intangible benefits were obtained,along with the formation of three standardized operating proce-dure documents.Conclusion:Quality management tools can effectively reduce the defect rate in the management of NDPS in the operating room pharmacy and improve the quality of pharmacy management in the operating room.关键词
