Abstract
Objective:Lymphoma is a common malignant tumor in China.Patients often experience prolonged intervals between chemotherapy cycles,during which chemotherapy-related adverse effects may persist after discharge,while targeted management strategies remain insufficient.Mobile health technologies,including telemedicine and mobile information platforms,overcome the temporal and spatial limitations of in-hospital guidance and may provide precise symptom management support for patients during chemotherapy intervals.This study aims to summarize the available evidence on remote monitoring-based symptom management for lymphoma patients during chemotherapy intervals and provide an evidence-based foundation for clinical practice.
Methods:Develop a symptom management plan for lymphoma patients during the chemotherapy break period.The evidence-based question was constructed according to the Population,Intervention,Professional,Outcome,Setting,and Type of evidence(PIPOST)framework.The target population(P)consisted of lymphoma patients during chemotherapy intervals.The intervention(I)included remote monitoring-based symptom management programs,including but not limited to dynamic symptom assessment,individualized health education,intelligent follow-up,warning systems,and remote decision support.Professionals(P)included hematology specialists,nurses,and follow-up coordinators.Outcomes:Primary outcomes included unplanned readmission rate,symptom control effectiveness,quality-of-life scores,and patient-reported outcomes;Secondary outcomes included nursing efficiency,symptom recurrence rate,and chemotherapy adherence.The evidence application setting(S)was the home environment after discharge,where remote monitoring and management were implemented through intelligent platforms.Eligible evidence types(T)included systematic reviews,consensus statements,guidelines,evidence summaries,and clinical decision support resources.Following the"6S"evidence pyramid model,relevant guidelines and databases were systematically searched.Databases and resources included the Joanna Briggs Institute(JBI),UpToDate,CINAHL,Cochrane Library,CNKI,Wanfang Data,VIP,Embase,PubMed,Sinomed,and Medlive.The search focused on guidelines,systematic reviews,expert consensus statements,evidence summaries,and randomized controlled trials related to symptom management in lymphoma patients during chemotherapy intervals.Searches were conducted using a combination of controlled vocabulary and free-text terms according to the requirements of different databases.The search period ranged from database inception to December 2025.Literature quality assessment,evidence grading,and evidence synthesis were performed by the researchers.
Results:A total of 10 studies were included,consisting of 1 guideline,1 systematic review,2 expert consensus statements,5 randomized controlled trials,and 1 cohort study.Fifteen evidence statements were extracted and synthesized into 7 categories:Dynamic comprehensive assessment,nutritional status management,psychological status management,gastrointestinal system management,infection management,cancer-related fatigue management,and myelosuppression symptom management.
Conclusion:This study summarizes the best available evidence for symptom prevention and management among lymphoma patients during chemotherapy intervals.Healthcare professionals and policymakers can select and adapt evidence according to specific clinical contexts to develop evidence-based nursing strategies and improve the quality of care.关键词
