Abstract
Objective To understand the chronic disease status of residents in Hebi City and its relationship with health literacy,and to provide a basis for chronic disease management and health promotion in Hebi City.Methods From August to December 2023,a questionnaire survey was conducted among 2 067 permanent residents aged 15 to 69 in Hebi City,using a multi-stage stratified random sampling method.Results The prevalence rate of chronic diseases among residents in Hebi City was 22.74%.The overall level of health literacy among individuals with chronic diseases,as well as their literacy levels across different dimensions,were lower than those of individuals without chronic diseases(P＜0.05).There were statistically significant differences in the risk of chronic diseases among residents with different urban-rural distributions,ages,and educational levels(P＜0.05).Conclusion The rural population,individuals aged 60 and above,and those with low educational levels who suffer from chronic diseases constitute the key groups for enhancing health literacy.Health promotion efforts should be tailored to these key groups,facilitating the transformation of health knowledge into healthy lifestyles and behaviors.关键词
