Abstract
Objective To investigate tobacco-related behaviors and influencing factors among permanent residents aged 15-69 years, and to provide a reference for the implementation of tobacco control measures. Methods A simple random sampling method was used to select 1 003 permanent residents aged 15-69 years from Yuyang Community,Hengdian Town,Dongyang City.A questionnaire survey was conducted to investigate their smoking rate and related influencing factors. Results A total of 986 valid questionnaires were collected. The current smoking rate was 17.55%,and the daily smoking rate was 16.02%.Gender,age,marital status, education level, and occupation were influencing factors of the smoking rate,as confirmed by multivariate Logistic regression analysis(all P<0.05).The second-hand smoke exposure rate was 52.03%,with a daily exposure rate of 22.21%.When someone smoked in front of them,15.11%of residents adopted an indifferent attitude,60.04%took avoidance measures,6.19%tolerated it,and only 18.66%would actively discourage the smoker. Conclusions The smoking rate among residents remained relatively high, and the second-hand smoke exposure rate was also elevated.Residents were not active enough in discouraging smoking.Gender, age, marital status, education level, and occupation were influencing factors of smoking behavior.Health and medical institutions should implement targeted intervention measures for populations at higher risk of smoking,in order to reduce smoking and second-hand smoke exposure rates and minimize tobacco-related harm.关键词
