Two-stage Measurement,Spatiotemporal Evolution and Influencing Factors of Urban Energy Well-being Performance in China's Cities

Abstract
Improving overall urban energy well-being performance is essential for reducing pollution and carbon dioxide emissions,promoting economic development,and enhancing social well-being.Based on the transformation process of urban energy well-being performance,it is decomposed into two stages:urban energy economic performance and urban economic well-being performance.A two-stage super-efficiency network SBM model is constructed to measure the overall energy well-being performance and the two-stage performance of 190 Chinese cities from 2010 to 2022,and to analyze their spatiotemporal evolution characteristics and influencing factors.The results show that:1)The urban energy well-being performance and two-stage performance of Chinese cities are both low,with key stages for improvement varying across cities.2)The urban energy well-being performance and two-stage performance both show a trend of first decreasing and then increasing.The low second-stage performance is the main reason for the low urban energy well-being performance.3)The urban energy well-being performance and first-stage performance both exhibit a spatial pattern of"high south,low north",while second-stage performance shows a spatial pattern of"large dispersion,small concentration".4)Technological progress and opening-up positively influence performances,while the urbanization level and industrial structure hinder performances.Environmental regulation has a significant inhibitory effect on the overall and first-stage performance.关键词
