Interactive effects of ring and ring traveler service stages on yarn quality and experimental analysis

Abstract
Different combinations of ring and ring traveler at various service stages influence on yarn quality in ring spinning process were studied.A two-factor full-factorial experimental design was employed,ring service life and ring traveler service stage were taken as the two independent variables.Spinning trials were conducted to evaluate their main effects and interaction effects on quality indicators,such as breaking tenacity,breaking tenacity CV,yarn evenness CV,thin places,thick places,neps and hairiness index.A two-way analysis of variance without replication was applied,combined with multiple comparisons of Tukey HSD,quantitative analysis was conducted on the contribution rates and significance of each factor.The results showed that wear level of the ring was identified as the dominant factor affecting yarn quality,contributing 91.78％to breaking tenacity CV,over 70％for breaking tenacity,yarn evenness CV.The ring traveler had significant or highly significant effects on breaking tenacity CV,thick places,hairiness index,with contribution rates of 33.61％and 33.52％to thick places and hairiness index,respectively.Interaction effects showed evidence of compensatory or negative superposition patterns in indicators such as breaking tenacity,thin places and neps.The experimental results highlighted the synergistic regulation mechanism between the ring and ring traveler,providing a theoretical basis for flexible yarn quality management in ring spinning production.关键词
