Phenomenological Investigation of Environmental Psychology and the Restoration of Environmental Ethics
摘要
Abstract
The correlation between environment and psychology serves as a vital perspective for understanding the relationship between humans and nature.John B.Calhoun's animal behavioural experiments uncovered the"behavioural sink"phenomenon,in which animals become trapped within their living habitats and thus incapable of self-transcendence,offering a theoretical reference for examining the interplay between human psychology and the environment.Phenomenological analysis identifies two theoretical foundations of environmental psychology:adaptability and constructiveness.Adaptability refers to the subject's perception,acceptance and selective engagement with the external environment;constructiveness denotes the subject's interpretation,meaning-bestowal and transcendence of the environment.The two dimensions form a synergistic relationship of"adaptation-construction",enabling humans to break free from the confines of their living surroundings and re-examine humanity's bond with the external world.This theoretical grounding ultimately outlines a pathway for the restoration of environmental ethics:the reconstruction of environmental ethics unfolds across three dimensions of scientific and living values,the psychological dynamics of civilization,and ecological logos.The restoration of environmental ethics provides a theoretical turn for resolving the ecological crisis and the crisis of existential meaning,and offers philosophical support for thinking about harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.关键词
