Abstract
To screen high-quality,high-yielding,and stable-yielding sesame varieties suitable for cultivation in southern Henan,and to clarify the variation characteristics of major agronomic traits and yield formation patterns among different varieties,14 sesame vari-eties from the 2024 southern Henan regional trial were used as experimental materials.Based on field investigation data of major agro-nomic traits and yield,systematic analyses were conducted on trait correlations,principal component composition,and comprehensive performance of the tested varieties using genetic variation analysis,correlation analysis,grey relational analysis,principal component analysis,and TOPSIS comprehensive evaluation method.The results showed that yield was significantly positively correlated with weight per plant,number of seeds per capsule,and number of capsules per plant,while significantly negatively correlated with height of the first capsule and length of barren tip.The first four principal components cumulatively accounted for 88.01%of the total vari-ance,encompassing key traits related to yield,plant architecture,capsule characteristics,and seed traits,which constituted the domi-nant factors affecting sesame yield and comprehensive performance.The ranking results from multiple evaluation methods were highly consistent,indicating that the comprehensive evaluation was stable and reliable.Given the limitations of single-year and single-loca-tion experimental data in demonstrating annual stability and ecological adaptability of varieties,future validation through multi-year and multi-location trials was recommended.Comprehensive evaluation revealed that'Xinzhi 6'exhibited superior comprehensive traits and outstanding yield stability,demonstrating good adaptation to the ecological conditions of southern Henan.This variety could be recommended as a mainstream cultivar for sesame production in this region,providing a valuable reference for local variety renewal,resource utilization,and breeding material selection.关键词
