The Impact of Ecological Product Value Realization on Integrated Urban-rural Development

Abstract
Promoting the effective transformation of ecological product value is a key lever for practicing the concept that"lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets"and boosting integrated urban-rural development.Using panel data of 30 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities(directly under the central government)in China(excluding Xizang Autonomous Region,Hong Kong,Macao and Taiwan Regions)from 2013 to 2023,this paper constructed an evaluation index system for integrated urban-rural development.On this basis,the two-way fixed effects model and moderating effect model were employed to empirically investigate the impact of ecological product value realization on integrated urban-rural development as well as its influencing mechanism.Heterogeneity analysis was conducted from two dimensions:geographical location and fiscal support intensity.The results demonstrated that:ecological product value realization had a significant positive effect on integrated urban-rural development,and this conclusion remained valid after a series of robustness tests.The moderating-effect test showed that both rural e-commerce and the new quality rural productive forces significantly and positively moderated the promotive effect of ecological product value realization on integrated urban-rural development.Heterogeneity analysis further suggested that such a promotive effect was more prominent in Eastern China and regions with strong financial support.Accordingly,this paper proposes targeted suggestions to orderly advance the construction of ecological product value realization mechanism,release the vitality of rural e-commerce and cultivate the new quality rural productive forces,and implement differentiated development strategies tailored to local conditions to strengthen the financial support through precise and hierarchical allocation.The aim is to enrich empirical evidence in the fields of ecological product value realization and integrated urban-rural development,and provides practical references for regions to promote high-quality integrated urban-rural development.关键词
