Mapping the knowledge domain and evolutionary trends of intelligent imaging aesthetics:From algorithmic rationality to cultural poetics

Abstract
This study investigates the knowledge structure and evolutionary trends of research on intelligent imaging,with particular attention to the impact of generative artificial intelligence(GAI)on digital imaging production.Drawing on publica-tions indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection from 2000 to 2025,this study employs CiteSpace-based knowledge mapping,keyword clustering,inductive analysis of technological pathways,and selected case studies in animation.The findings indicate that research on intelligent imaging has developed into an interdisciplinary knowledge domain rooted in computer science.Its research themes have expanded from visual computing and image processing to visual generation,multimodal collaboration,interactive imaging,and digital imaging production.Meanwhile,the underlying technologies have evolved from single-image generation to video generation,audio synthesis,semantic control,and AI-assisted post-produc-tion.Digital imaging production is increasingly characterized by generative AI-driven workflows,collaborative production processes,human-AI co-creation,and aesthetic control.Accordingly,the field has gradually broadened its focus from algo-rithmic performance and generation efficiency to visual expression,cultural semantics,and creative mechanisms,revealing a broader shift from algorithmic rationality toward cultural poetics.关键词
