Abstract
Sepsis can lead to multiple organ dysfunction syndrome(MODS).The theory of ″Yang Hua Qi,Yin Cheng Xing″ was first recorded in Treatise on Correspondence Between Yin-Yang and Manifestations of the Cosmos in Plain Questions.Based on this theory,the pathogenesis of MODS induced by sepsis can be categorized into two patterns:excessive Yang Qi transformation with insufficient Yin manifestation,and deficient Yang Qi transformation with excessive Yin manifestation.Excessive Yang Qi transformation with insufficient Yin manifestation deplete Yin fluids.Deficient Yang Qi transformation with excessive Yin manifestation leads to Yang Qi deficiency and impaired Qi transformation,or excessive accumulation of Yin pathogens and solid evils.In order to restore the dynamic balance between Yang Qi transformation and Yin manifestation,methods of clearing heat and preserving Yin,combined with consolidating Yin to prevent collapse,can be used to protect Yin fluids and repair damage of Yin substance.Therapies of supplementing Qi and warming Yang,combined with resolving turbidity and unblocking collaterals,can be used to reinforce Yang Qi and improve Qi transformation.Methods such as clearing heat and draining dampness,resolving phlegm and activating blood circulation may be added to eliminate pathogens and harmonize the Zang-Fu organs.The formulas such as Baihu Jia Renshen Tang,Shenfu Tang,and Xuefu Zhuyu Tang are commonly used.关键词
