强精煎对脾肾两虚兼湿热瘀阻型合并精子DNA损伤男性不育症的影响
Effect of Qiangjing Decoction on Male Infertility with Sperm DNA Damage of Spleen-Kidney Deficiency and Damp-Heat and Blood Stasis Pattern

Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical efficacy of Qiangjing Decoction combined with vitamin E in the treatment of male infertility with sperm DNA damage of spleen-kidney deficiency and damp-heat and blood stasis pattern.Methods A total of 60 patients of male infertility with sperm DNA damage of spleen-kidney deficiency and damp-heat and blood stasis pattern who met the inclusion criteria,characterized by elevated sperm DNA fragmentation index(DFI),were recruited from the Fangchenggang Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine.Subsequently,they were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group using random number table,with 30 cases in each group.The control group received oral vitamin E alone,while the treatment group received a combination of Qiangjing Decoction and vitamin E.Both groups were treated for a duration of 3 months.The changes of sperm DFI,semen routine parameters and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)syndrome scores,as well as the clinical efficacy,were compared between the two groups before and after treatment.Results After treatment,the DFI of the two groups decreased significantly(P<0.05),and the decrease in the treatment group was significantly greater than that in the control group(P<0.05).Compared with pre-treatment,the sperm concentration,progressive motility,total motility,and normal morphology rate in the treatment group were significantly increased(P<0.05);the total motility and normal morphology rate in the control group improved significantly(P<0.05).The improvement of each index in the treatment group was superior to the control group(P<0.05).The TCM syndrome scores in the treatment group were significantly reduced after treatment compared to baseline(P<0.05)and were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).Regarding clinical efficacy,the treatment group demonstrated a significantly higher total effective rate of 90%(27/30)compared to 63.3%(19/30)in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Qiangjing Decoction combined with vitamin E in the treatment of male infertility with sperm DNA damage of spleen-kidney deficiency and damp-heat and blood stasis pattern can effectively improve sperm DNA integrity and semen quality,and its clinical efficacy is better than that of simple antioxidant therapy.关键词
