摘要
Abstract
To curb the disorderly expansion of urban construction land and promote high-quality development of the city, this paper took Chengdu as the research area and used Landsat remote sensing imagery from 2002,2011,2017,and 2022 as the main data source. Methods including expansion rate, expansion intensity, compactness index, fractal dimension, and iso-fan analysis were applied to investigate the spatiotemporal characteristics of urban expansion in the main urban area of Chengdu from 2002 to 2022,and to explore its driving mechanism by combining economic and population data over the years. The results show that the construction land in the main urban area of Chengdu is expanding as a whole. Both the expansion speed and intensity show a"first increasing and then decreasing"trend, with the period 2011-2017 marking the peak stage of expansion, during which the expansion speed index reaches 62.02 and the expansion intensity index stands at 0.08.The compactness index decreases from 0.60 to 0.52,while the fractal dimension increases from 1.168 to 1.206,indi-cating that the urban form tended to be decentralized and complicated.Significant directional differences are observed in the expansion pattern, with the southern direction being the dominant expansion orientation.Economic growth and population agglomeration are identified as the core driving forces of urban expansion in Chengdu.关键词
