Abstract
The understanding of governance performance serves as the value orientation and code of conduct for leading officials in their work and pursuit of undertakings,bearing on the Party's governing foundation,the effectiveness of national governance,and the overall cause of Chinese modernization.In the new era,General Secretary Xi Jinping has inherited and developed the Marxist theories on Party building and political power building,summed up the Communist Party of China's century-long experience in exercising governance over itself,responded to the requirements for officials'competence and work style set by promoting high-quality development and Chinese modernization,and drawn on the profound governance thinking contained in fine traditional Chinese culture.Centering on establishing and practicing the correct understanding of governance performance,he has creatively put forward a series of new thoughts,viewpoints and judgments,forming a systematic and complete scientific theoretical system.This important exposition clarifies the decisive factors,value objectives,intrinsic requirements,strategic framework and scientific methods of the correct understanding of governance performance,and carries both theoretical guidance and action-leading value.Taking General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on the understanding of governance performance as the fundamental guidance,we must consolidate the foundation of political building,adhere to the orientation of high-quality development,focus on the purpose of serving the people,and improve the governance performance assessment system.关键词
