The evolutionary logic and Chinese practice of a modern industrial system from a demand-driven perspective

Abstract
This paper reconstructs the analytical framework of a modern industrial system from four dimensions:technology,space,structure and organization.Specifically,the technological system constitutes the means for production efficiency enhancement;the spatial system captures the geographical interconnections of industrial activities;the structural system refers to the proportional relationships within and between sectors that fulfill needs;and the organizational system characterizes the monopoly-competition dynamics that sustain long-term efficiency.Centered on the human demand system and propelled by the upgrading of demand hierarchies,these four dimensions interact and form a coordinated mechanism aimed at maximizing the efficiency of demand satisfaction.The evolution of China's modern industrial system exhibits distinct features:a technological trajectory from import-digestion to independent innovation;a spatial shift from disparity to coordination;an industrial structure persistently centered on the manufacturing sector;and organizational forms transitioning from administrative dominance to pluralistic advancement.The fundamental driver of this evolution lies in the people-centered economic philosophy.Through self-initiated institutional reforms and opening-up,guided by distinctive industrial policies,rapid development has been achieved.Confronted with challenges such as system streamlining and labor displacement brought by the new industrial revolution,China is advancing reforms to accelerate the construction of a new-generation industrial system.This system is built on new quality productive forces and is designed to better adapt to future demand patterns.关键词
