摘要
Abstract
Against the backdrop of an aging population and the development of the digital economy, the issue of the income gap between urban and rural areas has become more prominent.Studying its mechanism of action is of great significance for optimizing policies and promoting common prosperity.Based on the perspective of the level of digital economy and the bias of public expenditure, this paper uses a two-way fixed effects model to analyze how population aging affects the urban-rural income gap.The empirical research finds are as follows.First, population aging generally widens the urban-rural income gap;secondly, public expenditure bias has a mediating effect, and population aging affects the urban-rural income gap by influencing public expenditure bias;thirdly, the level of digital economy has a threshold effect, and the improvement of the level of the digital economy can significantly inhibit the expansion effect of population aging on the urban-rural income gap;fourthly, regional differences and differences in human capital levels make this impact heterogeneous, and this impact is more significant in the eastern and western regions and in areas with lower human capital levels.Based on the above research conclusions, this paper proposes four suggestions:innovating the regulatory mechanism, building industrial alliances, promoting the asset sharing model, and exploring the mechanism for cross-regional labor mobility,in order to effectively alleviate the adverse impact of population aging on the urban-rural income gap and promote balanced urban-rural development.关键词
