Forced Wide Frequency-band Torsional Vibration Analysis of VSG-based Grid-forming Type-Ⅳ Wind Turbine and Its Suppression Method
摘要
Abstract
Under complex loading conditions, high failure rates and maintenance challenges in bearings and gearboxes have historically caused significant operational losses for grid-following(GFL)wind turbines. With the continuous rise in wind power penetration,grid-forming(GFM)wind power technology has garnered widespread attention and is transitioning from pilot demonstrations to broader applications. While achieving superior grid adaptability and active support capabilities,GFM wind turbines—which share nearly identical mechanical structures and external loading conditions with GFL counterparts—face critical challenges of forced torsional vibrations in their shaft systems under persistent excitation from stochastic wind speeds. This paper establishes a torsional vibration analysis model based on a closed-loop transfer function for virtual synchronous generator(VSG)controlled GFM wind turbines. The influence mechanisms of key VSG parameters, namely, virtual inertia J and damping D,on forced torsional vibrations of the shaft system are systematically investigated.Leveraging these findings,a torsional vibration stabilization controller is designed, and its impact on grid frequency support capability is analyzed.Simulations validate that the proposed controller effectively suppresses forced torsional vibrations under random wind conditions while fully preserving the turbine's grid frequency support performance.关键词
